Geocaching on Hwy 89A

Tuesday 9/28/10
Packed up my GPS and travel to Sedona (just passing thru) on Hyw 89A towards Cottonwood. Had my list of geocaches to work on. Wanted to drive on the Bill Grey road which has alot of caches. After doing the hike up the rocky hill I decided to do it at another time. The one stop was the Mother Earth garden. Very interesting. Did find 8 caches. Continue to hyw260 to I-17 with a stop at the Cliff Casino. They have great hamburgers. Was my lucky day, walked out with an extra 160.00. Paid for my gas :). Back to the RV by 8pm. Nice day with great weather.

1st stop. Hiked down to Oak creek
#2 stop. Cache container found to the right of the gate

Camp sites off of 89A. Just a short walk to the cache
Same place. Back to Jeep
This one was hard. Hiked up this hill but great views
Cache hidden in rocks- no snakes :)
self pic/ top of hill
Oh no have to hike up there to get the cache container
Right off 89A going into Cottonwood. Cool garden. Its called Mother Earth.

Right across the garden is this beautiful Church. Also a cemetery near by.
