Hubbell Trading Post 10/08

Located in Ganado,AZ on Hy 264 about 35 miles from I-40. The trading Post is the oldest operating trading post in the Navajo nation. It was established in the late 1870's.

Hubbell family members operated this trading post until it was sold to the National Park Service in 1965. The trading post store is still active. Now operated by Western National Parks Association, a non-profit co-operating Association they carry-on the trading business the Hubbell family established.

Took the House tour given by Park Ranger Tina. So much history here. Not only about the Hubbell family but also on Navajo culture.
