FlagExtremeZip line 6/17

Monday 6/17

Arrived at Flagstaff fair grounds known as Fort Tuthill.  Checked in at 9am  for the Adventure"Play in the Trees".  At 930 started the orientation.  I was the only one with the guide , Mandy.  The people on the reservation list didn't show.  Then on to the Demo course.  Learning various methods and how to use the hooks on the guide wires.  You wear a harness. This course is a about 6ft off of the ground.  From here to the Green course #1. Completed this one and then onto the Blue course #2.  You come down from each course  and take a break. Here (end of #2)  I decided not to continue  to #3 & #4 because my arms were getting tired.  The Red and Black courses get even harder. I'm so proud of myself to accomplish these Challenges.  A little disapointed not completing everything but I'm OK with it.  Have to say it was hard, challenging, and rewarding.  Great staff.  Safety is very importent with them. There are 2-3 Guides on the ground monitoring the courses.  If you get into trouble you yell "guide" 3 times. Brian, one of the guides joined me on the Blue course. Giving me great tips on balancing and walking on swing bridges.   Some pictures of me taken by one of  the Guides and the other pictures taken from the web site to show what challenges I had to accomplish.  Took me about over 2 hours to complete the two courses.

Four courses.  Each one is higher in the tees. About 5 challenges for each course.  At the end of each course is a zip-line run.  Fun.  Also this is where u use a orange puncher to punch your ticket that you completed this course.
Green #1 about 15ft off of ground.
Blue # 2  about 20+ ft off of ground. The zip line here is over 450ft long. The longest one in the courses.  Fun, Fun zipping thru the trees.
Red#3  about 30+ ft off of ground.
Black #4 about 40+ ft off of ground.
In all the courses, balancing comes into play when crossing wobbly bridges and swinging surprises.
