Geocaching FSR515/Shultz pass

Monday 10/10/11
We (kim, kathy/derek,me) headed out to the Flagstaff area to do some geocaching. At the end of the day we had found 12.
Our first stop was in a small park off of Rt66/old bus 40. Cache was hidden in the pipe which was hard to get the sm container out.  Then off to Forest service road 515. Found about  6 caches. One of them was a multi-cache which means U go the first stage to get  co-ords for the second stage etc until the final 4th stage all within walking distance.  Fun.  This dirt road will finally take U down into Thorp Park in Flagstaff.  Stopped at Windy's for a late lunch.  Off again to the SW side of Flagstaff on hyw 180.  Turned onto Schultz Pass road for a dirve on a rough dirt rd to a elev of 8035. Great area and popular for hiking and biking.  We parked and hike to Schultz Pass tank to get another geocache. Back down the moutain.  Found 3 more caches along hwy180 before returning to the RV park. 7pm.
