Old military crash sites 1/11

Picture of a F-14 Tomcat
Tuesday 1/11/11.
Friends and me headed to Tacna east of Yuma. Then into the desert. Of course its the geocaching that is calling us. :) Going to visit two military crash sites, one being a F-14 tomcat plane the other a F-4 plane. This 60 mi round trip takes us into the Barry Goldwater military range in the desert. Our first stop was at the Baker tank area. From here about a 6mi drive to the combat village. A simulated village used for trainning. Continue onto the F-14 crash site to find a cache called the Kittyhawk. Took some serarching but got the find. Then onto the F4 another crash site. More driving thur the sandy road and round a small mountian onto the D road heading to Welton to get back onto the hwy I-8. Fun long day.
