Trip to Canyon de Chelly

friday 9/18 trip to Canyon de Chelly ( pronounced d'shay)
Archeological evidence shows that people have lived in these canyons for nearly 5000 years.
about a 2 1/2 hr drive from Meteor Crater. Traveling east on I-40 then exit onto 191. This area is Navajo land. The visitor center is outside of Chinle and operated by the Nat'lPark Service. From the center you travel on Hwy-7 to many overlooks points. The one at the end is Spider Rock - so awesome.
Did some geocaching on I-40. In Ganado stopped at the Fire Station to see a old flire truck which had a cache hidden in it. Fun. Great day.
