Trip to Yuma 12/15 tue

Left Meteor Crater RV park today, 12/15 tuesday. Traveled on I-40 west passing Flagstaff and other mountain towns just cover in snow. The road condition was clean of snow and dry. Finally turned onto AZ 95 . Traveling thur Lake Havasu, Parker, & Quarzsite to Yuma. Driving and stopping took over 8 hrs and 388 miles.
Today, wed 12/16 I'm back into shorts and enjoying the 70 temp.

Christmas Party sat 12/12

Company Party for Meteor Crater - 12/12 saturday
Party was held at the Posada Hotel in Winslow (7pm). In attendance was about 50 people (employees, family & guests). The hotel was all deck out in the christmas decorations. At 7:30p, the start of the buffet line. Great food. Later desert was served. President, Brad, gave a Thank You speech to the employees. Turns out we had a great summer in spite of the low economy. Kids took us thru some singing of christmas songs. Exchange presents were passed out, along with a company gift bag. Very, very nice evening . Happy Holidays.

Flagstaff-snow pic 12/9

12/9 wed Flagstaff (Blizzard on mon & tue)
After going to Winslow/Wal-Mart decided to travel to Flagstaff check out the scenery. Weather is really nice, blue sky & sun but very cold from Winslow to Flagstaff. Since I love the old down town area, I went there. Walked around. Stopped for some coffee then back here at the RV park around 4:30p.

Happy Trails party for me 12/8

12/08 tuesday. My last working day at Meteor Crater.
After work I was invited to Eduardo's apt (on site). Turns out it was a suprise party for me called Happy Trails. Boy I was really surprise. Lots of good food. Fun. Thank You

Snow at Meteor Crater 12/8

12/08 tuesday morning.
Flagstaff got their blizzard, lots of snow. Here at MC we got snow & Ice. Monday nite we had heavy winds (over 40mph). When I stepped out of the RV, I had a small snow drift. Left the RV park early not knowing the condition of the MC road which is covered in snow. Got to the main gate at the center and I realize I was the first employee to arrive. Turns out the lock was frozen. After that I drove accross the parking which is ICE. The employee gate wouldn't open- frozen. Parked and walked up the snow crover stairs. Our manger Toni was happy to see me since I was the only one that may it to the center. I-40 was closed from Kingman to Winslow. Therefore the employee's from Winslow couldn't come to work. Because some of the empl live on site we had enough to open knowing it would be hours before we would see anyone. David & I got the Admit area clean up (shoveling snow and spreading gravel). Our guest to arrived was at 10:30am. They came from the Flagstaff area, informing us the rough conditions there. Well another new experience for me :)

Winslow Christmas parade 11/21 sat

Wow what an afternoon in Winslow. Thousands of people attending the parade. Its really a big anual event. People come from all over, Indians of all nations come here from the reservations. Besides the parade at 1pm, there are craft displays and tons of food. Here's some fun pictures.
