Time to head home/Meteor Crater.
Nice breakfast at the hotel, packed up and headed out.
Stopped in Boulder City for some geocaching. Then a stop in Kingman for gas and a late lunch. Back on Hwy40 and arriving at MC Rv Park around 6pm

Las Vegas 10/12 #2

10/13  sunday
After early breakfast headed back to the strip. Purchased a 24 hr bus ticket for Downtown/Fremont. Walked around the Fremont area.  My goal was to do the Zip Line but it was under repairs, bummer. Did some geocaching along the way to the Pawns Stars store (showed on TV). Great store. A stop at a Wedding chapel for a geocache.  On the bus to the strip.  A visit to the Luxor to see the Titanic exhibit. Awesome.  Over to New York casino for a early dinner before seeing Cirque de Soleil/Zumanity. Returned to hotel around 10pm.  Wow long day but fun.

Geo Event in Las Vegas 10/12#1

* Big geocaching event in Las Vegas call the Geocaching Coin Fest
10/11 Friday
Left work around 430p.  Stayed over in Kingman for the night. Then got a early start on Saturday after breakfast at Denny's.
10/12 Saturday
The event started at 10am with hundreds of pople attending. Ended at 5p.
Lots of vendors. Drawings for prizes.  Seminars.  Awesome day.
10/12 sat evening
Joined a group  for some geocaching on strip.  Fun.

Ran into geocachers from Flagstaff and Yuma (Robert known as JJ)

Seminar.  On stage Geo. Reviewers from all over the world.  Reviewers are ones that review your cache page before it is publish.  Lots of questions.  Gave us a better understanding what is involved.

About 9pm.  Finally stopped on the strip for a burger & beer.

Time to wrap things up and go back to the hotel.

Andy & TJ came up thur 10/3.  Then I came up from Meteor crater on Friday eve 10/4.

Low key day with a movie.
10/6 sunday
Quick visit with friend Connie.  Then headed to the hills to see the fall colors. Lunch in Greer.
Nice drive taking a different direction.   Cool day.

Some how I lost pictures taken for the day.
The following pic is at a church yard sale.  Great prices on shirts, $1.00.

Return to MC on Monday late and the guys left on tueday.

Meteor Crater New Admit Bldg

Finally the staff at Meteor Crater Visitor Ctr moved into the admission blg. Really looks good. This will provide a nice enclosed area from the weather when purchasing tickets.

SL-Heber Fire in the Sky 9/22

Saturday we did some geocaching in Show Low.
*
Sunday we headed to Heber driving on  Rim Rd into the forest which was beautiful. The cache we
wanted to search for was call Fire in the Sky.
This is the site where the UFO abduction took place (1973) as told by Travis Walton and Mike Rogers in the Movie (1993).
