Off to Quartzsite AZ

Friday am Off with the RV to Quartzsite AZ (Hwy 95 & I-10) for a RV rally. Also to go to the RV & Tent show. In this area you will find over 1,000 RV 'ers dry camping in the desert.

House sitting ends 1/14

Well Dick & Diane are back this evening. They took me out Olvier Garden for dinner. I'll take off for Yuma in the morning. Its been fun being here.

Catcus garden Balboa Park 1/13

Back to Balboa Park in San Diego. Did some geocaching in the garden areas prior to going to see Van Gogh at the IMAX.

Torrey Pines 1/12

Torrey Pines is north of San Diego and South of Del Mar This area is a Calif State Reserve & State Beach. The high point is above the beach with wonderful trails with great views of the Ocean. Also a Visitor Center with much history about the indians that lived & travel thru here. Did some goecaching on the trails and later went down onto the beach for a nice long walk. The weather was just great.

La Jolla Classic car show 1/11

The 5th annual Classic car show-awesome. A little priceZ to get in - $20 but worth it.

Over 120 cars. Cars are not for sale. Judges were walking around taking notes. Picture of me is in front of two Bentley's: Brown one is 1963 the Black one is a 1950. The yellow one is a Pegeot.

La Jolla 1/11

La Jolla Cove.

Sunday afternoon. Going to the La Jolla Classic Car show which is in my next entry. What a great sunny/warm day. Of course doing some geocaches. Walked on a trail with awesome views of the Pacific ocean. Later in the afternoon went to Georges on the Beach Bar/Rstr. Some food & a drink. Watched the last quarter of the football game Chargers/Steeler. Yes Chargers lost.

Cabrillo Nat'l Monument 1/10

The Nat'l Monument is located in Point Loma. The Pacific ocean on one side and the San Diego harbor on the otherside.
The Visitor center offers alot info on the Light House built around 1854. Monument honors Juan R. Cabrillo the first european to set foot on the west coast of the US.
