MIM   Musical Insrument museum  
Off off hy 101 and Tantum    Scotsdale

After having lunch at the Plaza were I saw the opera, headed down the road (about 4 mi) on Mayo dr to the museum.  Spent over 2 hrs here. You explore music from around the globe, displaying over 15,000 instruments and artifacts.  Included in your admission is head sets so went you stand my a monitor one can hear music from that display. Would like to go back again.  Purchased a T-sheet in the gift shop.

Opera/Tosca 03/24

Sunday 3/24/13
Left meteor crater rv park around 6:30am for the the 2 hr drive to Scottsdale.  The opera in cinema was being held at the Harkins theater.  The opera/Tosca  was performed at the Royal Opera house in England.
Great performance.  All the main characters die at the end.  Hmmmm.
 
  Afterwads had lunch at the mall and walked to some geocaches in the area.

3/23 movie

saturday 3/23
My day off. After doing some things around the trailer headed to Flagstaff to see this movie. Really very good.

SYNOPSIS
When the White House (Secret Service Code: "Olympus") is captured by a terrorist mastermind and the President is kidnapped, disgraced former Presidential guard Mike Banning finds himself trapped within the building. As our national security team scrambles to respond, they are forced to rely on Banning¹s inside knowledge to help retake the White House, save the President and avert an even bigger disaster.

the Renaissance Festival 
3/15 fri
After work, headed to Phx to meet Andy, Bob/Derrick at the hotel.  Got checked in and then out for dinner.
3/16 sat  Had a continental breakfast at the hotel, then headed to the Fair. Arrived around 9:30am. Gates open at 10. Big crowd.  Lots to see and do.  Our Feast was at 2:30 for a 5 course meal. It was great and fun.  Left there about 6pm.  The guys headed back to Yuma.  Since I  was tired and a long drive back to meteor crater I decided to find a hotel for the evening.
3/17 sun
Checked out and had breakfast at a Denny;s near by.  Stopped at the Ciff casino and then back to MC.

Had to work 1/2 days on my saturday and sunday Days off.
Sat: After work which was very cold outside, decided to do some paper organizing taking serveral
hours.  Continue reading my Kindle and a nap.  :)
Sun:  After work headed to Flagstaff to see the movie Safe Haven. Very good movie.  Flagstaff still has a lot of snow from the last storm.
Mon:  Co-workers and I headed to Flagstaff for a early morning movie Oz, good one. Lunch and some shopping before returning at 4pm.

Opera in Phoenix

3/02/13 saturday.  Trip to Phx to see a Opera
Left Meteor Crater for a 3 hr trip to Phx. to see the Opera Il Trovatore (Verdi opera) by the Arizona Opera.  This was a first  for me on this one. Checked in at the Sheraton Tempe hotel around 5pm. Got ready for a 20 min drive to Symphony Hall down town Phx.
Synopsis: Two brothers love the same women and they don't know they are brothers. One is a Count and the another one is a gypsy (he was stolen from the castle when was a baby). Tragic ending. Hmmm, that's different for a opera :).     Four main characters that were great.  A 3 hr performance.
