Traveled to Phoenix to see the Verdi's opera AIDA. Checked into Motel6 about 9 mi from the down town Phoenix. The opera was held at Symphony Hall in the Phx Convention center. This buildng is so big and good looking. Opera was 3 1/2 hrs (5 acts) long with 2 intermissions. 3rd act had a victory parade which included animals. The wow was when a camel came on the stage. Great opera. It was created in 1870 by Verdi in Cario to celebrate the opening of the canal.

Two Gun Cave 3/4
Sunday 3/4/12
On the way back from Flagstaff we (kathy/derek) stopped to get this geocache in the cave at Two Guns about 10 mi west of Meteor Crater. Dark (need flashlights) and cold down there.
Here's the history on the cave.
Apaches would raid the Navajo, after many raids the Navajo changed their defensive strategy. After one raid the Navajo sent out pairs to track the Apache party, the party had disappeared in the Diablo Canyon. Two men found the cave by accident as they scouted for the missing party. Heat from the cave and the voices of the Apache gave away their hiding place. The cave was big enough for the Apache to hide their horses and 40+ men. When the Navajo found them they tried to barter for the lives of those that Apache had stolen, learning that the Apache did not hold any Navajo survivors alive, the Navajo set fire to the mouth of the cave. To read more about this cave and history surrounding it Google Roadside Resort: Apache Death Cave.
