Previous day was pack up day. Faith (co-worker) & Paul (husband) took me out to lunch on friday in Winslow. Mexican food at the Brown Jug. Saturday morning, cleaned the RV and by noon I was
ready to leave. The RV is staying there since I will return the end of Feb. Trip to Yuma was OK. Getting into warmer areas was just great. Arrived in Foothills/Yuma about 6pm. Then out to dinner with some friends.

Sedona 1/01

The four of us (kathy/derek & kim) headed to Sedona for geocacing on the first day of 2012. Wow 2012 already. Our first stop was Bootleg Park off of 89A before getting to Sedona for a geocache called "Nameless"-this was are 3rd attempt trying to find it. We walked down to the OakCreek area.. since the creek was low, we were able to get across it. Yea, we found the cache. From here a drive to the Sedona airpost. We then hiked up one of the red hills for another cache. Such a nice sunny day. Felt good to be outside in Tshirts & shorts. Hiked was a 2 mi round trip. Then off to CottonWood to eat at Sizzler. After a late lunch we headed back to Sedona picking up 5 more caches on the way. Back at the RV around 6:30pm. Fun Day.

Meteor Crater Christmas paryt 12/10
Saturday 12/10/11
Meteor Crater Christmas party was held at the Quality Inn in Winslow at 7pm. In attendence was about 50+ employees and family/guests. Dinner was really good. Then Santa came in to pass out presents for the kids. Later a drawing for some great prizes for all employees. The grand prize was 32" TV. Fun evening. The party committee did a great job. Happy Holidays.

Flagstaff adventure 12/4

Decided to head out to Flagstaff for a movie at 10:30am. Movie was Breaking Dawn#1, good one if you are watching the Twilight saga series. After the movie some lunch. Then a drive up to Lowel Observatory for the view of flagstaff. From here a drive to the airport ( just a few miles) to get a geocache in the snow. Right of the road. Just 200ft but walking in 12-14" of snow. Then had to dig the container out. It was by a tree stump which was easy to locate it. From here a drive to the flagsaff Mall. Did some shopping. Back at the RV around 4pm to see the last half of the football game Cowboys / Cardinals. Yeaa the cardinals won,

Trip to Winslow 12/3

More snow in the morning. Time to get out. :) Headed to winslow (20 mi east). Some new geocaches were placed last week. First stop at a old Trading post by the train area. From there
to the La Pasada hotel for lunch. A little on the high end but very good. Then 3 more caches. A quick stop at the Dollar store. Back to the RV.

Snow at MC RV park 12/2

My day off and wake up to snow. Pretty but........
Had a Doctor's appt (dermatology) in Flagstaff at 11:15am. The drive there wasn't bad, like a winter wonder land. From there off to get a new Jeep battery. Some shopping at Wal-Mart and back home.
Long day. Yes it snow on/off all day. Fun adventure, I think.
