Returning to RV via Hwy 280 6/26

6/26/12  Left Show Low about 1:30p taking a different route. Headed east on Hwy 60 >hwy61 to Concho then north 180A to 180 to I-40 Holbrook.  Of course geocaching was on my list. Got six of them. A little monsoon rain along the way.  Arrived at RV Meteor Crater about 5pm.

1st stop.  Little Ortega lake.  Lots of cattle out here. Found the geocache.

2nd stop. Concho lake. People fishing here. Found geocache.

Had to leave hwy180A onto 5020 which will take U to Snowflake. cache at base of tree. Cache was called  Bonsai.

6/6124-26  Trip to show low
sunday 6/24:
After work at the crater left for SL around 3:30p.  Arrived at TJ's condo just in time to unload jeep and then both of us headed to Chuck/Bill place for game nite.  About 13 people at the hall to play different games.  Fun.
6/25 monday:
Bill/chuck had a list of projects so I head off for some geocaching.  Went out on hwy 61 and got three of them. Stopped at this neat general store Stanford. Parked on the side dirt road to get a geocache. Spotted folded $bill and put it in my pockeet.  Later at another cache waiting for the rain to stop I pulled out the bill to check it--WOW it was two $100.00 bills.  See geocaching is a treasure hunt. :).
Back to show low then Pinetop for more caching.  Met TJ for a late lunch and a movie later.Then back to the condo.

BBQ's

Attending a lot of BB's  this week.
6/21 thur.  After work headed to Bellemont in the forest to meet Faith/Paul  and Bunny/Jim for a BBQ.  After dinner a game.  Returned by 9pm.  No pic's.

6/22 fri. After work kathy/derek and I had a BBQ here in the rv park. Fish BBQ that one of our co-worker caught at Lake Powell.    No pic's.

6/23 sat. After work headed to Winslow to McHood campground. BBQ with co-workers from Meteor Crater.  This place is  popular for fishing and swimming.    see pic.

Saturn#3 geocaching series 6/18

Monday 6/18/12    Bob, Derek (Kathy didn't come) and myself.
Our third trip to finish the Saturn geocaching series (35 caches in total). Caches are located in the Flagstaff area off of hyw 89A in the forest.  We completed the series by finding the last 14 caches. Most of the caches we could drive to them and then a hike of 200-500ft to make the find.  A whole new  area to explore. We drove in the same way.  Then found FS rd 533 > FS rd 75.  After finding the last cache, we continue on FS rd 75 to FS rd 231 (which was a gravel rd, like a freeway :) ). Continue thru the Flagstaff Fair grounds into Flagstaff.  We were headed to the Jeep dealership.  Couldn't get out off 4low.  Kathy had to come in from Meteor Crater to pick us up.  Back to MC around 6pm.  Sooo, have to wait and see what the Service dept will find on my Jeep on tuesday.
   >> tuesday 6/19. Update.   Jeep is fixed.  Turns out it was 4 x 4 sensor switch.
 Cost to replace was $255.00. Ready to roll again. 

Saturn geocaches (35). We did the top left section today. Got the final 14 caches.

Show Low 6/10-12

Monday-tuesday  6/11-12.
Arrived late friday afternoon in time for cards at Chuck/Bill hall. About 20 people-fun evening.
Monday:
Caching with Bill/chuck on the new SL Buffs trail. Later in the day we took in a movie, Prometheus. Very good. Dinner. Then to B/C place to watch the recorded Tony Awards.
Tue:
Just a relaxing morning reading my book.  Some shopping. Created a new geocache. Around 5pm headed back  to Meteor crater.
