saturday 11/20 Balloon Festival
A early trip to the Wetlands Park, located at the Colorado river, border line between Calif & Yuma Az. A great Park. Lots of people here at 6:30am. About 15 air Baloons. Fun to watch them do the setup. Always wanted to take a ride on one. Its on my bucket list.

Trip to San Diego 11/15-17
Left Yuma monday morning to go and visit my brother Dick & Diane. On tuesday Dick & I went to SD downtown to area call little Italy.. Lots of sidewalk cafe's. Did some geocaching in the area. From here we went to visit a friend Gary who just moved into a high rise bldg on the 13th floor with great views of San Diego. Then into the Hillcrest area for a late lunch. Unfortunately Diane had to work. Fun day.

Tue 11/9 am
Time to pack up at the campground and head out to Yuma. Arrived about 1pm. Nice drive. Not much traffic and the weather was great.

Monday 11/7/0
Enjoyed the morning at the RV site. a little overcast but going to be a nice day. About 10am headed out to do some geocaching on the island. Great place to do some ATV ing. Ran into some geocachers. Along the way there are serveral lighthouses (replicas) built by a Club here in Havasu. One of them was a Virtual cache ( no log to sign) which means take a picture and answer some questions and email it to the owner. Then we proceeded to the London bridge village. Did some walking around. Decided to take a boat ride to the Havasu Landing Resort/Casino on the Calif side. We could see the RV at Crazy Horse campground. Spent about an hour at the resort. The return trip only takes 20min. Fun adventure. More walking around at the Village before returning to the RV. Time for glass of wine to watch the sunset. Nice day.

the Desert Bar/Parker 11/7

Sunday 11/7
My friends from Meteor Crater, Bunny/Jim, suggested checking out this place called "the Desert Bar". Its located about 4 mi north of Parker off hwy95 on a dirt road called Cienega springs Rd. You travel about 4 mi into the desert wondering where is this place! There it is! Old mining camp- Nellie E. Only open on weekends- music,beer and lots of people. Great place for ATV ers and 4x4 jeeps stopping in. Fun place, well worth the trip.

Crazy Horse campground 11/6,7,8

Arrived at campground about 4p from Meteor Crater. Staying at Crazy Horse campground on the island across from the London bridge on the colorado river here in Lake Havasu city. RV site is right on the water-cool.
11/7 sun. Nice relaxing morning. Then a drive around the island, checking out other RV parks that are very nice, resorts, but more expensive. Here at C.Horse its only 35.00 a nite. Picked up one geocache before heading out to Parker on Hwy 95. Looking for a old mining camp which is now called the "the Dersert Bar" (next log entry). Returned with a quick stop at Safeway. Enjoyed the evening just viewing the water & boats.
11/8 mon am- enjoying are stay here, decided to stay another day rather then packing up and going to the state park in Parker.

11/04 thur: Left Yuma for a return trip to Meteor Crater to pick up RV.
11/05 fri: Took Andy to Show Low for a day trip.
Dinner with Bunny/Jim & Faith/Paul at RV park. Played a game "shut the box". A dice game. Fun.
11/06 Gas up the RV and on the way to lake Havasu city. Want to camp on the island across the London bridge on the river.

Leaving Meteor Crater & trip to PV

10/31 sunday, Last working day at Meteor Crater. Ready to leave for Yuma, jeep only with a side trip to Prescott Valley.
11/01 Finish with last min stuff on the RV in the morning. Left MC for Prescott Valley to visit friend Russ. Nice in home dinner and got caught up on events.
11/02 Russ packed up truck with a few things put into my jeep. Then a morning walk and on the
road at 10am.
Arrived in Yuma about 230. Weather much warmer but OK
