tue 10/26 at Meteor Crater
I thought this lunchen was for Evelyn who is retiring which it was but I was included since my last working day is sunday. Lots of food. My other co-workers were coming into work shop in shifts to get their food and cake. When I walked in everyone yelled out "surprise". Yes I was...... very nice.

ATV ride to Fissure 10/26 am
Tuesday 10/26 ATV - owners Faith/Paul
Left the Meteor Crater RV park for a 10 mi ride to check out the area. Our journey took us out to a larger fissure in the earth. After seeing this awesome view we had to be back at Meteor Crater at noon for Evelyn's Welfare lunch - she was retiring. Great co-worker.

Dinner at Meteor Crater 10/23
Sat 10/23 at Meteor Crater @6pm
All empolyees were invited to a cater dinner by the Barringer family who are decendents of Daniel Barringer who worked the crater in 1902. To be on the Barringer Board one has to be a relative. There were six of them in attendance. Very interesting. This family Board has nothing to do with the MC Board. Very nice people and a great learning adventure. They wanted to Thank us for are hard work. Nice evening. Great BBQ food.

ATV ride 10/20
Wed 10/20
My co-worker & geocaching buddy,Faith, asked me out to do some ATV ing. They, husband Paul, own a Red Polaris Ranger. She wanted to find a driving trail route from Meteor Crater RV park to Diablo canyon about 6 mile without going on the Meteor crater road. She plotted a course using Google Earth but later we determine it wasn't working out. We finally found a way to the canyon after circling around and discovering a old ruins. The trail/road took us down into & out of the canyon-cool. Another 5 mi to Buffalo Ranch road via rocky terrian and even thru a old farm house. Turns out there a was a new goecache near by which we got and discovered we were the first to find it. Two more miles to the Raymond Headquarters and trail head. There we spoke to a Fish & Game ranger who lives on the property. Since it was 430p and the sky was getting darker (rain clouds), time to head back to the RV park. Total of 21 mi round trip. What a fun adventure.
our first stop-water tank- but no road trail
