Sea Life aquarium trip 7/26

Monday 7/26 My co-workers Kathy/Derek & I left for Phoenix/Tempe to see the SeaLife aquarium in a huge shopping mall. The aquarium houses various tanks including a ocean tunnel. Very nice. Did some walking around in the Mall later. Being outside was very hot-temp 105+. A lunch near by at In-N-Out burgers. Back onto I-10 to I-17. A stop at the camp verde Cliff casino before returning to the RV park.

Show Low trip 7/12-13

Monday 7/12 Headed to Show Low (2 hr drive from RV park). After having lunch at TJ's place off we go for some geocaching and sightseeing. Later in the day a stop for some Diary Queen ice cream. Back at the condo for a couple hours of cribbage.
Tuesday 7/13 Turns out Bill/Chuck are here in show low from yuma. They are working on their RV pad in the White Mtn RV resort. Cool place. Kenny from Wash was with them. All of us headed to Mamma's Bear diner for tasty breakfast in PineTop. Later TJ & I did some thrift store searching and took in a movie. A couple more geocaches before returning to Meteor Crater.

Hike Mt Elden area 7/9 fri

7/9 Since this was my late shift (12-8p), decided to hike to this new geocache over by Flagstaff Mall (east side of flag). Parked on Snowflake dr which is a trailhead for serveral trails. Hiked in about a mile before heading up this hill. At the top was some great views of the mountains . After searching for 30min I gave up trying to find the cache. Another time. Had to head back to get ready for work.

Top of hill - great view of east Flagstaff

AT ground zero for geocache and old ruins of ??

Williams-Kaibab Lake tue 7/6

Tuesday 7/6
Kim & I decided to head out to Williams about an hour drive from the RV park. Our first stop was in Parks (off I-40). This is one of the areas were a fire burned 500 acres a few weeks ago called the Eagle Rock fire. Hiked in the woods for a new geocache which we found and FTF (first to find). Nice 3 mi around trip of hiking with some great views. Forgot the camera. From there we went to the Kaibab lake campground. Cool lake with alot people fishing. Some hiking in the area and found 4 caches. Met a couple with their son geocaching. Fun to watch the boy find it. Then onto Bearizona park (was here 3/4 weeks ago) to locate a geocache in the area. Went into Williams for a late lunch (4 pm). A little walk in the town area. A couple more geocaches on are walk. Back to the RV park. Found seven caches for the day.
