Trip to mexico - thursday 2/25

A group of us went across into algodones from yuma. Some of us got new glasses, dental work (teeth cleaning) , haircut and some shopping. I schedule a lunch date with my friends Loraine & Marvin from Wash. They were my camp host supervisors at Kachess Lake Wash. So good to see them. Fun Day.

Hiking trip- foothills 2/24

Wed 2/24 Hiking to to do some geocaching in the Foothills (yuma) about 5 miles from
the house. These hills into the Gila mountains are covered in ATV trails. Ken & I did
about a 5 mi hike up and down. We were doing a series of caches called Foothills #1-6.
Great hike and the views looking down to the Foothhill community.

Geocaching Yuma Event#7 2/21

The annual geocaching event-- Yuma Event #7 -- was held at the Gateway park. This area is so neat, one can walk or ride bikes for several miles along the Colorado river.
The event started at 9am with various games and visiting with other geocachers from out of state. In attendance was about about 350 people. At Noon, the BBQ started with tasty foods. Later prize drawings. I won a geocaching coin. Fun day.

Hernia surgery 2/10

2/10 wednesday afternoon.

Went to the Yuma Medical center for my hernia surgery- 1 1/2 procedure. Here's a pic of me prior to going "under". Recovery was a couple of hours and released to go home. Doing fine.
