Arrived 3/25

Started out early this morning from AZ95/I-40 intersection (truck parking area). The drive was good and the weather great (very little wind). I like traveling this direction verus I-17 from Phx. The climb is easier. The biggest climb starts from Ash Ford going from 5100 to 6500. Then to Willams (Grand Canyon exit ) to Flagstaff with elev of 7300+. From the Williams area starting to see patches of snow off the Hyw. More as one travels thru Flagstaff. Arrived at Meteor Crater Rv park (elev 5500) at 11:30a. Selected a different Rv spot compare to last year. Sp#54 next to the restroom building. Hoping this will cut down on the wind hitting the RV. Got partly setup (water & sewer hose will do later). Then went onto the MC Visitor center. Picked up my uniforms/keys.. Everyone was glad I made it back. I'm scheduled to start on friday 3/27. Looking forward to it.

Currently its 3/26 11:15am and the wind is up, with wind gusts of 40mi/hr. This is the only negative side to being up here. Oh well. At least there's no snow - yet!!!

Trip to Meteor Crater 3/24

Left Yuma this afternoon for the trip to Meteor Crater Rv park (east of Flagstaff AZ). Going thru Quarzsite, Parker and Lake Havasue via AZ95. Staying over nite at the AZ95/I-40 intersecton. Truck stop area for parking and quick dinner salad at Burger King. Will leave early to start the climb to Kingman,Willams & Flagstaff.

Rock writing 3/19

An area NW of Winterhaven CA on the other side of the America Canal. The area is filled with names of people. The signatures are made of rock. Its also called Graffiti hill. It seems it goes on for miles. These names go back many years. Very interesting. We did some geocaching.

Good Bye BBQ 3/21

Job & Rob had a BBQ this afternoon as a "Good Bye" before returning home in Canada. The other quests will also leave for Wash. & Toronto Canada. I'm leaving tue 3/24 for Meteor Crater.
