New casino 2/13

Went to the grand opening of the Q casino. Its own by the Quechan tribe. Located out of Yuma (I-8) with a Winterhaven Calif address. On the road to Algodones Mexico. Wow, it was packed. Very difficult to find a open machine. Had lunch there during my 4 hour stay. Fun.

Geocaching with School Kids 2/12

One of the teachers from Rancho Viejo Elementary (yuma) organized a Geocaching event for the 70+ kids (grades 4 & 5). I was contated & asked if I would help out. I agreed. The area selected was in the Foothills of Yuma. The hiking trail is a very popular one that goes to the top of a big hill. Its called telegraph hill because the towers at the top. We started about 10am with the arriving of two school buses. The kids were divided into smaller groups with adults and a geocacher. We didn't go to the top but did hike 3mi. (round trip). There were 10 caches along the trail and the kids found all of them. Everytime we found one, big cheers from the kids. Fun Morning. Took over 2 hrs.
